Job Description:

The Marine Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing marine engines, electrical systems, and boat components. This position works closely with an experienced team to provide high-quality repairs and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair marine engines and boat systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine service work
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, fuel, and electrical issues
  • Install and service marine accessories and electronics
  • Complete engine rigging, setup, and installation work
  • Diagnose and repair 12-volt electrical systems
  • Use service manuals, diagnostic equipment, and technical resources
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation
  • Follow shop safety procedures and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

  • Previous technician experience in marine, RV, powersports, automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or a related industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marine or outboard engine experience
  • Experience with 12-volt electrical systems
  • Fuel system and engine diagnostic experience
  • Technical school or manufacturer training
  • Boat rigging and electronics installation experience
